1. What we collect
Email you send us. If you email hello@cardinalstacks.com, we receive your message, your email address, and anything you attach. We use it to reply to you and write a quote.
Bug Catcher reports. If you use the Bug Catcher widget on this site, we receive the screenshot, your annotation, the URL, your browser, and reproduction steps. We use it to fix the issue you reported. No login or account is required.
Site analytics. When the proxied Plausible analytics integration is active (see /how-it-works for the schedule), we collect aggregate, cookie-free, IP-stripped page-view counts and click counts on tracked conversion elements. No personally identifiable information is collected or sent to any third party. The script is loaded from a same-origin path (/p/js/script.js) so your browser does not contact plausible.io directly.
Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard request logs (IP, user-agent, response code, path) for operational and abuse-prevention purposes. We do not export, sell, or analyze these for marketing.
2. What we do NOT collect
No cookies for tracking. No fingerprinting. No third-party ad networks. No social media trackers. No retargeting pixels. No account system because we don't have one.
3. How long we keep things
Emails: until they're no longer useful to the relationship (typically 7 years for accounting purposes, or until you ask us to delete the thread, whichever comes first).
Bug Catcher reports: 90 days, then purged.
Plausible aggregates: indefinite, because they don't identify you.
Server logs: 30 days, then rolled out by the hosting provider.
4. Who else sees this data
We do not sell or rent any of the above to anyone. Sub- processors involved in operating the site:
- Vercel: site hosting, edge network, logs.
- Email provider: the inbox behind hello@cardinalstacks.com. We'll name the specific provider here once a final choice ships.
- Plausible: analytics aggregator, contacted server-to-server via the Vercel proxy. Your browser does not connect to plausible.io directly.
5. Your rights
Email hello@cardinalstacks.com and we'll do any of the following on request:
- Tell you what we have on you.
- Delete your email thread or Bug Catcher reports.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional statutory rights (GDPR/UK GDPR/CCPA). The above is how we honor them in practice.
6. Changes
When this page changes, the "Last updated" date at the top changes with it. We don't silently revise.
